The Greater Wabash Valley is justifiably proud of the long and distinguished history of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra (THSO)–so proud, in fact, that a detailed history is included in the program provided to every audience member attending each concert.
Now in its 93rd season, the THSO is the oldest professional orchestra in the state of Indiana. Started as a volunteer group of musicians who provided community entertainment, the Terre Haute Symphony has evolved into a group of highly-skilled, paid professional musicians who complete auditions to demonstrate their skill level. We offer a subscription series of concerts from September through May as well as educational concerts for about 2,000 fourth graders from the Wabash Valley.
Donations of $50 or more will be listed by name in our season Program Books as a thank you for your generosity and support of the symphony!
